As Creative Director at Zcene, Danjel’s focus is on finding the very essence of a story. His extensive experience as an editor taught him to cut through the noise, before bringing it to life creatively. For Danjel, a good story makes you forget where you are. When visuals, sound, rhythm and emotion all fall into place and you’re completely in it.

Being the biggest geek in the office, his fascination with powerful storytelling started early. As a sci-fi loving kid, he devoured tons of Marvel comics. Don’t be surprised if he shows you an image of his cat Epoxy: Danjel is a ‘crazy cat lady’ at heart.

Roland Sonneveldt

Director of Operations, Partner

As the Director of Operations at Zcene, Roland is at the center of every project. He assembles the perfect crew and ensures everything runs smoothly, setting other people up for success. For Roland, a great film is all about making the right connections. In both the story and with the people you work with.

As Zcene’s biggest chatterbox, it’s never a dull moment with Roland. He loves to goof around to make sure every project is a fun one. As a sweet-tooth and candy-addict, he is ultimately responsible for re-filling the candy jar.

Wouter Hamers

Sr. Animator/Editor, Partner

As a Motion Designer / Editor at Zcene, Wouter is in charge of creating carefully crafted stories wrapped in impeccable visuals. From the rough edit to the final product, he's the go-to person to make it all happen. All of his work starts with a small idea that he shapes and molds into one immersive experience.

Being the second-biggest geek in the office, Wouter is a gaming enthusiast. From World of Warcraft to FIFA: he can do it all. Wouter is quiet but deadly. Not just as a gamer and former judoka, but also in shutting down Roland’s word vomit with clever remarks.

More and more often we see creativity being sacrificed for speed and convenience. And guess what: that’s not how we do things here at Zcene. We believe in focus, dedication and close collaboration. No shortcuts, no compromises — we create films with precision and passion. This has been our mojo since 2002. And we don’t plan to ever change.
