The World Customs Organization Technology Conference and Exhibition brings together representatives from customs organizations worldwide to explore the future of the sector. As the host nation, the Dutch Customs Organization wanted to lead the conversation, showcasing its innovative technological approach during the event's opening keynote.
Managing today's massive global goods flows requires cutting-edge technology. The Dutch Customs Organization is a leader in this field, and we felt their presentation had to be equally innovative. Our core idea was simple yet ambitious: to bring their technological innovations to life by making the unseen visible. We wanted to create a video experience with an additional 'tech layer' that would reveal the digital solutions and data analysis that power modern customs operations.
We built a multi-layered stage setup. A large main screen played the core video, which illustrated the inspection process for both an e-commerce and a B2B order. In front of this, we positioned a transparent projection screen, which served as the interactive 'digital layer.' Presenters used this screen to summon data, icons, and titles. The key to this experience was perfect synchronization: every animation, voice-over cue, and presenter action was timed perfectly. This resulted in a one-of-a-kind presentation.
